The Berkeley Township Volunteer Firefighter's Memorial recognizes members of Bayville Volunteer Fire Company, Manitou Park Volunteer Fire Company and Pinewald Pioneer Volunteer Fire Company. Our mission is to ensure that their dedicated service is never forgotten.
BERKELEY TOWNSHIP VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS MEMORIAL
This Firefighters Memorial Site was conceived and planned by Fire Chiefs Patrick Piccoli, John Anderson, and Chuck Bunnell.
In 2002, while attending the funerals of many dedicated firefighters from throughout Berkeley Township — some with over 50 years of faithful service to their departments — they recognized the importance of creating a lasting tribute so that their dedication and sacrifice would never be forgotten.
From that vision, this memorial was born.
With the valued assistance and support of firefighters Joseph Heaney, Bernie Heaney, James Murray, and Kevin McCormack, this site stands today in honor of all firefighters who faithfully served their community with courage, pride, and devotion.
